Town of Wayland Sees Large Voter Turnout at Tuesday’s Election

WAYLAND — Select Board Chair Cherry Karlson and Acting Town Manager John Bugbee wishes to recognize all those who voted at Tuesday’s election in Wayland, as well as the workers who supported the polls.

Approximately 67% of Wayland residents turned out to vote this week, including early voting. The Town wanted to thank the election staff who worked diligently on Tuesday and in the two weeks of in-person early voting.

“Voting is a civic duty and fundamental freedom here in the U.S. and I commend all those who came out to the polls on Tuesday to vote,” Acting Town Manager Bugbee said. “I wanted to take this opportunity to also extend my sincere thanks to Town Clerk Trudy Reid, the poll workers and all the volunteers who worked long hours on election day and the days leading up to it. A smooth election process is a testament to the hard work of all involved with the local election process.”
