Wayland Police, Fire Departments Seek Information in Wake of Hit-and-Run Crash on Route 30
Police Chief Ed Burman and Fire Chief Neil McPherson are asking for the public’s help in the wake of a hit-and-run crash Friday night.
First responders received a call at 6:59 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, reporting that a 72-year-old woman was struck along Route 30. According to a preliminary investigation, it appears the woman was trying to cross Route 30 at the intersection of Old Tavern Road when she was struck.
The driver did not stay at the scene.
The woman was in critical condition when she was transported to a Boston hospital. No information about her current condition is available.
Police are looking for any witnesses to the incident or footage that may have been captured in the area of Route 30 and Old Tavern Road.
Investigators believe that a dark sedan may have been involved in the crash and that the sedan may have front-end damage.
